Elementary Physical Education is a key opportunity to teach children the importance of staying active and leading a healthy lifestyle, starting at a young age. We all know how impressionable each and every child is at this stage and learning to be healthy right now can get them into the habit of doing so throughout their entire lives.
In my physical education classes, your child will not only be provided with activities that keep them active during their pe class time, but also ones that they can take with them and use outside of school. Some of the types of activities they will be participating in, but are not limited to, are as follows:

- Weekly PE vocabulary (only grades 5th on up will be quizzed)
- Motor skill development
- Sport skill development
- Strength and Cardiovascular fitness
- Learning about basic health concepts and the body systems
- Fitness concepts
- Teambuilding
- Traditional sports
- International sports
- Cross-curricular (incorporating other academic subjects into physical activities)
- Student created games
- And Fun, old-fashioned, get them moving type games
